About the project

We cooperate in establishing the central European collection within the digital full-text repository of Classical Studies maintained by the Heidelberg University Library.

The project enables free of charge, permanent publication on the Internet of scholarly texts (journals, papers and books), based on the Open Access principle, which guarantees wide readership. Each document is stored with a permanent address and is indexed using popular search engines (e.g. Google, Google Scholar) and various databases and programmes, including “Publish or Perish”. In the recent year the Heidelberg on-line collection has had 5 million visits from 152 countries worldwide.

Books, papers, series of publications

Books and articles are published as a specialised art-historical collection: ART-Dok Central and Eastern Europe, supplemented with selected series, including „Palmyre: fouilles polonaises”. In future the collection will incorporate publications by eminent scholars:
